St Patrick’s Day Tea Party

Tea Party

Leprechaun Shenanigans

Our St. Patrick’s Day Tea Party was one of the easiest to create.

With just a few Dollar Tree decorations, some rainbow candy, and a little imagination, we turned this ordinary afternoon into a playful, colorful,  mischievous moment full of leprechaun shenanigans.

Here’s exactly how to recreate it.

Tea Party At A Glance

Theme: Leprechaun Shenanigens
Decor: Colorful crepe streamers, gold beads, balloons
Food: Lucky Charms

Step 2: Set the Scene

This St. Patrick’s Day Tea Party was super simple.

  1. Cover the table with your green tablecloth.
  2. Ran the sparkly table runner down middle of table.
  3. Filled Black Cauldrons with gold coins and scattered gold coins on table along with gold beads and Leprechaun hat.
  4. Create a quick backdrop by taping colored streamers, gold beads and 4 leaf clovers.
  5. Blew up balloons and scattered them throughout the room

That’s it.

You now have a tea party setting.

Remember: children see magic in what we consider ordinary.

Tip: Anything you can do to bring Leprechaun mischief or magic will set them full of excitment and giggles.

Step 4: Get in the mischievious spirit

We painted our nails green and added St. Patricks Day themed decals.

Then added jeweled sequins to our faces.

Step 5: Create Something Together

We built and decorated Leprechaun Traps

Directions:

  1. Give child a bag of graham crackers
  2. A bag of candies
  3. And let them have fun

Step 6: Read a Story

We read How To Catch A Leprechaun by Adam Wallace

I think to drag this party out a little longer I would have looked for a show for us to cuddle up and watch just to get more time.

A show that maybe they wouldn’t ever watch without an older generation introducing them to it. My first thought would be the old classic Disney show Darby O’Gill and the Little People. My girls might be too young for that now but in a few years they won’t.

You can choose any book or show you love.

I would love to know if you have a favorite St Pattys Day Book or Show.

Keep it relaxed.
